Enhanced cybersecurity protection
Security is built into the Mercury Security MP2500 architecture. Technologies such as ARM TrustZone, secure boot validation, hardware crypto support, and encrypted data storage help protect sensitive information within mercury access control deployments.Business continuity
Legacy LP/EP-based access control deployments can be upgraded with MP2500, ensuring business continuity with a new processor part of a multi-year longevity program, dual footprint circuit designs and the same reliable LP/EP interface and footprint.Expanded memory capacity
Built to handle larger user bases, the MP2500 supports up to 600,000 cardholders along with a 500,000-event buffer. It keeps performance stable while handling large volumes of identities and activity data. Works well for multi-site and high-traffic environments where data keeps growing.Edge processing capability
Processing takes place directly within the MP2500 controller, allowing access decisions, alarm handling, and scheduling tasks to run locally. The controller can also support application logic at the edge, extending intelligence closer to the door.Scalable management
The ICM-MP2500 supports large-scale deployments with the ability to manage up to 64 doors or openings through supported expansion modules. This allows organisations to build high-density access control infrastructure from a single controller platform.

The MP2500 is a networked controller in the enterprise Mercury access control system. It controls the downstream interface modules that are used for the readers and field devices. With the supported expansion modules, one controller can support up to 64 readers and openings.
The MP2500 wiring diagram is for the power, Ethernet, and RS-485 expansion modules. These diagrams illustrate how the controller communicates with the downstream interface boards and other field devices in the system.
The Mercury Security MP2500 is compatible with Mercury hardware drivers used by various access control platforms. These drivers are used for communication between the controller and host system for configuration, monitoring, and reporting events.
All Mercury controllers are shipped with a factory login password that is used during initial controller configuration. Installers will typically change passwords while installing the system to comply with site security requirements.
The Intelligent Controller is configured during host system installation. The IP address is usually configured using the setup tools or access control software used on the system.
The Mercury MP2500 Controller is compatible with access control platforms that support Mercury Access Security Controllers. These access control platforms use Mercury drivers to configure and manage controllers, events, credentials, and more.
